Introduction

This privacy statement describes how we handle your personal data. Additionally, we will inform you of your rights and how you may exercise them.

Our organisation operates as a so-called ‘controller’ as defined by the privacy regulations. In essence, this means that our organisation is responsible for complying with the privacy regulations when processing your personal data.

Definition of personal data: information which concerns an individual, whether directly or indirectly. This includes, for example, your name, address and telephone number. We process your personal data if you serve as a contact person on behalf of a (potential) client or supplier and utilise our services / products or if we utilise your services / products. We also process any other personal information which you, as a visitor, provide via our website.

We do not process any specialised personal data, such as personal data concerning religion.

Objectives and basis upon which we process personal data

In general, we request and use your personal data in order to optimise the services provided to you. This includes delivering ordered products, providing support and informing you of important developments concerning products as purchased by you. Information requested of you, such as your address and email address, are required in order to provide you with the requested service. If this information is not provided, we are not able to adequately fulfil our contractual obligations.

The legal basis for processing personal data is that this handling is necessary in order to correctly fulfil our obligations according to the agreements concluded between you (or your organisation) and our organisation.

We also use your personal data for the commercial improvement of our services. This includes sending (personal) newsletters to provide you with information regarding our newest products and to offer (personal) promotions. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in it. We also send such newsletters to you as a potential client, though only after we have received your permission to do so.

Your interests in protecting your privacy is very important to us. To this end, we ensure that you can exercise your rights with ease, as described below, and remove yourself from our mailing list at any time.

Lastly, we store your personal data in order to comply with the legal obligations based on tax legislation.

If necessary, we will request your permission in advance for certain processing.
We do not utilise automated decision-making processes.

Where and for how long is your personal data stored

Your personal data is only stored for as long as is necessary for the correct provision of our services or for as long as is required for compliance with legal (tax) requirements. Should you choose to withdraw previously granted permission, we will no longer store your personal data.

Measures have been taken within our organisation to store your personal data in a secure manner, including proper IT measures.

To whom we extend personal data

Your personal data is only processed for the benefit of our organisation and affiliated companies. We will treat your data confidentially. In order to optimally provide the requested service, where applicable, we are required to extend your personal data to subsequent recipients.

For the correct implementation of our services, we engage internal and external suppliers, such as IT suppliers and logistics companies. We form agreements with suppliers who hold access to personal data via their services. This includes agreements pertaining to security, confidentiality and that they are not permitted to utilise the information for their own purposes.

Lastly, it is possible that we are required to extend personal data in compliance with a warrant received from a regulatory authority.

The data, including personal information, which we have acquired is stored locally within the European Union, with the exception of data processed by third parties. This data is processed, for instance, in connection with establishing warranties, including Cicso, HP and F-Secure.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise this right, you may contact us via privacy@becosoft.com.

We will process your enquiry or request and get back to you as soon as possible. We may require additional information from you in order to process your request. In some cases, we will need to verify whether the personal data does, in fact, belong to you, and whether the request is justifiable and achievable. This is in the interest (of privacy) of our clients and relations.

Furthermore, individuals are able to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority. Complaints may be submitted to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, or to the supervisory authority in the member state where you are located. Use of cookies

Our website utilises so-called ‘cookies’. Cookies are small text files which are automatically placed on your computer upon visiting a website. We utilise functional bookies, which are essential for proper functioning of our website services. In addition, we use analytical cookies; with the use of which we are able to monitor how visitors use the website. We do not use so-called tracking cookies.
